PRIYANKA Chopra’s sudden exit from Salman Khan starrer Bharat grabbed many eyeballs in the last week. While all Bhaijaan and PeeCee fans were excited to watch this pair together on the silver screen, the desi girl walked out of the project at the last moment due to her marriage plans, which is scheduled in October. Director Ali Abbas Zafar confirmed her exit and later tweeted that he is hunting for a female lead. He tweeted, “Yes yes yes … we will announce the leading lady of Bharat soon. We have been shooting non-stop and the simultaneously preparing for international schedules”.
And now, the filmmaker has found his lead actress and its none another than tigress Katrina Kaif. Ali confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror and said, “I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again. We have had exciting collaborations in the past.” Ali and Katrina have previously worked together in Tiger Zinda Hai and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and share a great bond with each other.
Talking about Bharat, the film also stars Disha Patani and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. It is an official adaptation of the South Korean movie Ode To My Father. The Korean film depicted the history of the country from the 1950s to present-day through the life of a man. Salman and Katrina will be seen in 5 different looks in the film, which will showcase their journey from 18 to 60.
